From cycling strategy to real-world impact
In January 2026, Movares partnered with the Dutch Cycling Embassy to support the city of West Palm Beach, Florida, in advancing its urban mobility strategy. The collaboration kicked off with a three-day ThinkBike Workshop, focused on integrating cycling infrastructure into the city’s broader transport network.
During the workshop, local stakeholders, including policymakers, planners, and community representatives, explored practical solutions to improve cycling accessibility and multimodal transport. The program combined expert insights, community engagement, and hands-on co-creation sessions.
A guided bike ride through West Palm Beach provided valuable, first-hand experience of the existing cycling infrastructure. These insights were translated into concrete, actionable proposals, presented at the end of the workshop.
This marked the starting point for the next phase: the Impact Implementation Course, delivered together with Scenexus.
Digital Twin for sustainable mobility planning
From ideas to data-driven solutions
The Impact Implementation Course builds on the outcomes of the ThinkBike Workshop and introduces advanced Digital Twin technology for urban planning.
Using a digital replica of West Palm Beach, participants can test, visualize, and optimize mobility scenarios in a data-driven environment. This enables local teams to:
- simulate cycling and multimodal transport solutions
- assess impact on traffic flow and accessibility
- support decision-making with measurable data
By combining field insights with Digital Twin simulations, participants gain the tools to transform ideas into scalable, future-proof mobility strategies.
Why sustainable urban mobility matters
Cities worldwide are facing increasing pressure on their transport systems. Improving cycling infrastructure and multimodal mobility is essential for creating accessible, safe, and sustainable urban environments.
Digital Twin technology is revolutionizing urban planning: adaptive, data-driven, and ready for the future. Yet its success relies on empowered local teams and effective knowledge exchange. As cities around the world seek scalable solutions for mobility and sustainability, Movares and Scenexus deliver a unique synthesis of technology and expertise, supporting West Palm Beach in setting new standards for impact and innovation.
The result: a future-ready mobility network
The collaboration delivers more than a workshop or training program. It creates:
- a strong network of local stakeholders
- practical, implementable mobility solutions
- increased capacity for data-driven urban planning
Together, this lays the foundation for long-term improvements in cycling infrastructure, accessibility, and sustainable transport, positioning West Palm Beach as a forward-looking city in urban mobility.
